MotorWeek's Drivers' Choice Awards go to 2014 Ram 1500 and 2014 Jeep® Cherokee

The Chrysler group can add to the list of awards they have accumulated over the past year. Recently MotorWeek, television's original automotive magazine, released their annual list of Drivers' Choice Awards.

MotorWeek's annual Drivers' Choice awards have been awarded for the past 33 years and are awarded based on buyers' views on the vehicles reliability and also looking at trends and innovation surrounding the various vehicles.

The 2014 Jeep® Cherokee was awarded Best Small Utility and the 2014 Ram 1500 earned the honor of Best Pickup Truck for the second consecutive year.

Host and Creator of Motor Week John Davis was impressed with both vehicles after getting behind the wheel for himself.

"I was really impressed with the Ram 1500 when it won last year. After I drove the EcoDiesel I felt completely justified in making the 1500 a back-to-back winner," said Davis.  "And, this is the best Cherokee yet. Hugs the road like a car and slings mud like a true truck. Really an awesome on and off-road utility that fully lives up to the Cherokee name."

The 2014 Ram 1500 proved why it should win two years running. Delivering best-in-class fuel economy the Ram saves drivers at the pump without sacrificing the towing capacity and work ability that the Ram offers.

The all-new 2014 Jeep® Cherokee redefines what the mid-size SUV was previously thought to be. With the combined 4x4 capability plus 45% improvement in fuel economy, the all-new Cherokee delivers on every level.

Chrysler Group LLC Head of Sales Reid Bigland was thrilled to be acknowledged by MotorWeek.

"MotorWeek is a well-established source of information for consumers and we're thrilled to accept their Drivers' Choice Award for both the Ram 1500 and our all-new Jeep Cherokee," said Bigland. "These awards were earned in two of the most competitive segments in the automotive industry. Third party recognition from MotorWeek affirms the hard work and commitment of Ram and Jeep employees to deliver great products."
