What is Wyler Assurance?
Wyler Assurance is a limited powertrain warranty that covers select vehicles. Only vehicles under ten years old and with less than 100,000 miles on the clock are eligible. When a covered repair is performed, drivers only need to pay a $100 deductible per instance. Coverage lasts for 6 months or 6,000 miles, whichever comes first, determined by the dates and miles listed on the buyer's order at the time of purchase.
Are All Used Vehicles Covered By Wyler Assurance?
Not all vehicles in Dayton receive Wyler Assurance. Vehicles must pass a multi-point inspection before receiving coverage, and as-is vehicles will not receive coverage (although a manufacturer's new vehicle limited warranty may or may not be in place).
What Parts Does Wyler Assurance Cover?
London area drivers that choose a vehicle covered by Wyler Assurance enjoy a variety of coverages. Anything not mentioned here isn't covered. But, all seals and gaskets immediately related to a covered repair are included. Urbana drivers will see coverage in three primary areas: motor/engine, transmission, and axles.
Internally lubricated gas and diesel engine parts are covered, including pistons, piston rings and pins, crankshaft and main bearings, connecting rods and rod bearings, camshaft and bearings, oil pump, timing chain, gears and/or belt, rocker arms, valves, valve springs, seats and guides, valve push rods and lifters. Your engine block or turbocharger will be covered by the failure of a covered component.
Transmissions and transfer cases are covered by the failure of a covered component. Internally-lubricated parts include bands, clutch pack, gears, pumps, shafts, shift forks, shift rails, synchronizers, and solenoid. Additionally, the torque converter, bell housing, vacuum modulator, transmission mounts, and transmission pan are covered.
Axle and final drive housing units are covered by the failure of an internally lubricated part. Parts include axle shafts, differential cover, universal joints, and yokes, constant velocity and double offset joints, drive shaft center bearings, supports, and propeller shafts.
